He is also a board member of Ancient Chinese Literature Society, Ancient Chinese Literary Theory Society, Society for Song Dynasty Literature, and Chinese Society for Laoshe Studies. His research areas include Chinese classical poetry, ancient Chinese poetry, ancient Chinese intellectual history and other humanities. He has published many monographs on literary and artistic criticism.
