Chinese Humorous Stories is an after-school reading supplemented to the Chinese textbooks for the foreign beginners or those who have some basic knowledge of Chinese.

Aiming at making it interesting and easy to be understood, we adhere to the following principles during the selection of the language materials.  To be interesting is our most important standard. We strive to overcome the cultural differences and select those materials of universal interest, avoiding those that are too naive and unnatural. To be authentic is our second consideration. We manage to collect the lively and standard spoken materials to enable readers to get in touch with the real, modern life of the Chinese. Thirdly, we try to make sure that the materials reflect the Chinese background knowledge and cultural message. We hope that the process of reading the book would facilitate the internalizing process of Chinese language points.
