The Series of Specialized Chinese Textbooks for Foreigners Studying in China is designed for foreigners with elementary Chinese proficiency studying Science, Western Medicine, Business, Traditional Chinese Medicine and other relevant academic subjects in China. It aims to teach the foreigners’ skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing necessary for their study in the above-mentioned academic fields and have them master the basic vocabulary, word formation, expressions and sentence patterns to prepare them for the coming college education.

 

This is the main language textbook for science and technology in the Series of Specialized Chinese Textbooks for Foreigners Studying in China, a specific Chinese language textbook for international students learning Science as an intensive course to prepare them for their future study in China. It bridges the gap between their study of the general course of Chinese language and the intensive course of mathematics, physics or chemistry.

 

In this course, the reading exercises are focused on and supplemented by the writing ones. The main purposes are as follows: to develop international students’ basic Chinese knowledge and skills necessary for their study in the field of mathematics, physics, chemistry or compute; to improve their listening and speaking abilities in Chinese for science and technology; to remove their language barrier in the above-mentioned academic fields and provide the language support necessary for the intensive study of their majors.
